Coach 75th Anniversary

Coach celebrated their 75th anniversary by throwing a grand bash with celebrity guests and musical tunes by DJ Lolawolf. Nostalgia was the theme, with neon signs, disco balls, classic cars; consider it an ode to the past that will help mark the future. I decided to go for a casual, grunge-inspired look, with hints of theatrical aspirations. I think of the look as the present reckoning with the past. Whatever the future hold, Coach’s magical revel will remain a night to remember.

Work in Progress

Being comfortable in whatever you’re wearing is the most critical aspect of fashion, for me at least. And when it starts to get cold out, layering is KEY. The balance between looking cute and staying warm can be hard to get just right. In my case it can be as simple as donning an oversized jacket and throwing on a hoodie. I know shocker right? What you don’t see is that underneath my hoodie I have three other layers. If fashion can’t be practical, then why bother? This is a perfect example of how to look on trend but also stay warm.

Earlier this fall I was so sure the bomber jacket trend would die down, but it appears to still be going strong. I paired my bomber with a few key pieces I think everyone should have in their closets for winter: a sheerling boot, a cross body bag and some oversized hoops to accessorize.
